I am a 35 year old male who has had the lateral meniscus removed from both knees. Would anybody know a rough cost (and I mean rough estimate only) to have the HemiCAP device placed in both knees?

No idea, but you could call Michael Neil's office at St Vincent's Private in Sydney, as it sounds as though he was on TV promoting it.

I think it would be premature to start costing something until you knew whether it was a suitable procedure for your type of knee problem. I would wait to get a knee surgeon to recommend it to you first and then you can ask about the cost.

I am very interested in the HemiCAP procedure also as I suffer from osteoarthritis & I have been doing a lot of research on it. It would be greatly appreciated if you could update this forum to share with everyone the results of your enquiries.

You can go on their website www.arthrosurface.com fo more info and to find a doctor in your area too.

It was developed for the younger active patient 35 to 65 years old who only needs a portion of their hip/knee/shoulder/toe replaced. This does not burn bridges for a future operation years later. Analogy: Works like a custom filling for a tooth instead of pulling the whole tooth.
