We are from England in the United Kingdom, and have come to the end of the road i think. My husband 8 months ago fell off a roof whilst at work, he shattered his talus, had an operation and has now got pins in his ankle, he is only just able to walk with the aid of crutches, but has the most severe pain. Our doctors here in the UK have said that the next step would be to fuse his ankle, we are concerned that he will then have little or no movement in his ankle at all and become disabled. Can anyone give us any information on any other treatment available for this shattered talus as we are now wanting to pay private to make his foot and ankle good once more. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks.
