Heaps of data about the number of hip and knee replacements performed in Australia each year. Lots of good stuff. Interesting demographic - the AFL states have a higher incidence of hip replacement whereas the rugby states have a higher incidence of knee replacement.

Private TKRs and THRs are increasing faster than public.

The report identifies some prosthesis types which are at higher risk of revision than others. However it does seem to put political correctness ahead of its charter to improve results - individual surgeons are not named nor are their results tabulated. This seems a pity, as surgical skill would surely be a major factor for success. There is a good argument to stop surgeons with terrible results from doing these major procedures.

Also I can't see any data comparing joint replacements in public vs private hospitals. You would presume the private hospitals would do better, but perhaps the government doesn't want you to know whether this is actually the case:
