Spinal Stenosis & Sciatica.. Specialist Needed

Hey, I've just came in from the united states and now living in Melbourne - Victoria. I have spinal stenosis and sciatica and am having a difficult time trying to locate a specialist to help me. I am in incredible pain all day every day. The medication percribed by a GP is like giving a Vitamin C tablet to someone who just lost their arm... Pointless. I've even found that the GP's are very uncaring and extremely unhelpful. Does anyone know a good spinal/back/pain management/Neurosurgeon/Sports injury specialist whom will see me????

Two suggestions for spinal specialists: Justin Hunt, consulting out of Epworth (orthopod specialising in spine) or Damien Tange who privately consults in Kew (neuro with a focus on spine among other things).

I've had occassion to come into contact with a number of back pain sufferers who have been treated by both physicians and the feedback has been extremely positive.
