hello all,

I have two unusual pains in my right leg, the first pain is in my right groin, and the second is in my right leg joint, connecting to my hip(joint area)

I have had this mysterious pain in my right groin for about 3 weeks now, and it does not seem to go away. I started receiving this pain after lifting a large amount of 60 pound concrete bags. I would always use my right leg to lift(stepping stool), and somehow my groin got caught up in all the lifting. I can walk, jump, sprint, run perfectly fine. Whenever, my groin would be an issue is when i begin to stretch it, a painful sensation comes up. When i do side leg lifts(above hip level) i begin to feel that painful sensation as well. What is this condition called? is my groin torn or sprained? what can i do to resolve this problem?

Secondly, i have recently received pain in my right leg joint, connecting to my hip(joint area). I received this pain when i was on the treadmill a few days ago. I was thinking it was from thrusting my right leg forward too hard, when jogging. It feels similiar to my groin problem as well. The only time i would feel pain from this is when i am stretching it.

I at least try to stretch and massage these areas on a daily basis, hoping it would heal faster. let me know if i am doing the right thing.

thanks for the help,
zoe

Did you ever get any response to your problem. I have been experiencing a very similar problem as the one you describe in my groin. It only hurts in positions when i extend my right leg out to the side, it almost feels as if one of the tendons is hangin up on something, at times i will experience pain and then a "snap or pop" and then all is better. All i know is that i have had this for over a year and it has been getting steadily worse.

Have you had it looked at by a good musculoskeletal physio? Could be adductor tendinopathy or your hip joint.

Have you taken any oral steroids? I have experienced similar symptoms and am now undergoing tests (had x-rays now will have an MRI) to see if the bone in the hip joint is dying - I forget the name of it but surgery may help it.

hey if it's been already 3 weeks I would go and see a physio or an orhto asap, these things can get quite annoying and chronic real fast......could be a nerve too, or most likely a tendon....
