hi i have recently undergone surgery to repair my pectoralis major tendon.
Its four weeks sense surgery and have been doing some research and have found a few articles on Prolotherapy and aprotinin injections.
I was wondering if this sort of treatment could help speed up my recovery and get me back on the field faster???
Also would Nitrate Patches help?
thanks

Most of the work on aprotinin and nitrate patches has been done on chronic tendon degenerative injuries that have failed to heal. In these scenarios aprotinin and nitrates might help the injured tissue heal a bit better.

It is a stretch to presume that they'd both quicken post-surgical recovery. Aprotinin has been used by hand surgeons to help with tendon repair post-surgery e.g. this paper http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=pubmed&dopt=Abstract&list_uids=10365705&query_hl=1&itool=pubmed_docsum

However, there is a side effect of potential allergy with aprotinin and it is probably best to wait for nature to take its course with your pec repair. If you are slower than predicted times, you could think about ways to remedy the situation, but what you need now more than anything is patience and to not do anything silly that would rip the repair (like go back to the gym before cleared by your doctor).
