For those of you who have experienced an ankle injury(break or sprain) and have had some rehab but are not 100% recovered what sort of exercise do you take part in to get your ankle active again?

Do you give cycling a go or is it too hard on the ankle?
Do you walk or jog or is that too hard on the ankle?

Please give me your opinions as to the most appropriate low impact exercise to get active again so i can win the battle over this belly i am growing.

Ankles respond to exercise in different ways depending on the type and severity of the injury. Your best bet is to find yourself a good sports physio in Wagga (check "find a physio" on www.physiotherapy.asn.au) they should be able to give you a pretty good plan within a couple of treatments. Much better than wasting time and effort on general activity when specific exercises are required. This will also reduce your risk of future problems.
