Sounds like a positive drug test but hard to speculate too much in case the rumour mill is mistaken. However, the word is that it is an ASDA test for a social drug. Looks like game over but how hard should the official suspension be?
Remember no performance enhancing element and there are a few AFL players out there walking around on 2 strikes for 2 different positive tests for social drugs.

A prohibited substance is a prohibited substance. While some of the recreational drugs may not be performance enhancing they do pose a health risk and are against the spirit of sport (two of the other criteria that WADA use to include substances on the Prohibited List). (In some sports they could post a threat to safety - either the athlete's own safety or that of others). More importantly, however, high profile athletes are role models for many young fans. By imposing lenient penalties for use of recreational / prohibited drugs what sort of a message are you sending to them?

Wendell has had 2 strikes already in relation to alcohol related incidents. This is his third disciplinary breach and i hope it is his last, as he wont be allowed to play in Australia for 2 years. The bloke doesnt understand discipline apparently. The game of rugby doesnt need one bloke making an idiot of himself so often and then playing bad rugby for NSW and Australia.
The ARU need to think about how much money they offer to players who havent proved themself as worthy union players. $750000 is too much money for a player who hasnt grasped the idea of defending properly in union and runs away from his support when attacking.

Chappy that ametuer comedy is for places like the school yard, the work place or the pool hall ok buddie? now hes out of the way i think Wendell should be dealt with as any other player would be. He may be a great player of the game but he still did the wrong thing.
Thanks and Kind Regards

See that is the problem with Wendell. He wasnt a great player of the game. He got in the way in both attack and defense and couldnt read the game well at all. The only time he really performed was when he weas told where to go and how to do it.
I still believe he should be banned for the 2 years minimum. Lets get this 2nd sample tested, ban him and let australian rugby get on with regaining the tri nations.
