Hi all,
I had my achilles lengthened on March 31st (I was born with club feet and at the ripe age of 51 the doc said it was time to do something :D ). I was put into a cast - toes pointed 30 degs. - which was removed on May 11th. Was told not to put any weight on foot except to steady myself on crutches and was given heel arches to put into my shoe.
My appt with the specialist in next Wednesday (14th June) and I'm wondering what to expect from here on? I slipped the other day and went to put my foot on the ground and the pain shot through me! It's mainly in my heel but also the part where it's tight at the back.
After reading about the ruptures on here I seem to have been non weight bearing for an awefully long time. (10 weeks?)
What is the first thing that happens at physio (that's if the doc sends me)?
How long can I estimate before I walk unaided?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
With thanks,
Suu
