can someone tell me more about management of this condition and possible recovery times

Depends on severity. If developed to calcified nodules, then surgical removal required. Prevention the key, avoiding repeated deep massage following injury etc.

thank you for the information it is my son who has the corked Quad he has had xrays that show a calcium build up the injury is three weeks old and has only been deep tissue massaged once prior to the xray. He has also been tacking Roaccutane which is known to slow down recovery in skin injuries , has anyone heard of any link to muscle injuries ie. slow recovery or other side effects such as making an injury more accute
