Just wondering why Michael De Vere has been left out of this weeks clash against the dragons? Does he have a niggling injury that we aren't being told about? Surely couldn't have been dropped? Sorry its just that i couldn't find it on any other website.

Sorry for the delay in updating injuries this week - we are a bit short staffed. Mick De Vere has a quad strain that he has been carrying for a few weeks, and Wayne Bennett is giving him the week off this weekend as he aggravated it a bit during the Souths match last weekend.

It seems that Mick De vere may be out for a little while longer now. On nrl.com it states that he injured his knee during training and that he may be facing some time on the sideline. He is soon to see a knee specialist. Hopefully the news isn't too bad and we can see him on the field asap.

Thanks Micky, doesn't sound too good for Michael from initial reports....his change of direction mechanism of injury and audible 'pop' could mean a deaded ACL. We'll soon see.
