Wallabies' winger Wendall Sailor has been the latest high profile victim of a hamstring strain, suffering one in the warm-up of the Test match against England and being forced to pull out. In rugby league Brett Kimmorley (pictured left) suffering a grade 2 hamstring (semitendinosis) strain whilst doing a sprint warm-up at NSW training. An MRI scan confirmed the injury and ruled him out for 3-4 weeks. In the AFL, the recent injury report (see below) has confirmed the hamstring strain as the code's number one injury. Hamstring strains have been very common in both the NRL and AFL this year (particularly at a few clubs - the Newcastle Knights, St George Dragons, Sydney Swans, Collingwood Magpies and Essendon Bombers).
