City 2 Surf

The City 2 Surf '06 will get underway at 9:30am tommorow. In case you don't know, it is an annual race where you have to run 15kms. (Gruelling:( but worth it, at least this is on of the best way to lose weight:) ) From Hyde Park to Bondi Beach via Vaucluse. Some people come from other countries to do it. This is my first time in it and I am very excited:) and nervous :o . This will be a good way to deal with obesity.

Can anyone provide me with injury and first aid statistics for the City to Surf? I am involved in events and am trying to work out if my event's stats are better or worse than other events of a similar size. We had 40,000 people. How many St John's visits, injuries etc would you be expected to see from an event with that many people?

How many people in the city to surf end up in hospital or need medical care?

I don't know. I didn't run it this year. You'd hardly know it was on.

I have read and heard about City 2 surf and I like it. I think the city2surf is a great day for everyone who participates and really makes an impact on your life. I most of the live in Sydney and think I ran this race in 1987 if i not mistaken, brings back old memories of my days in Australia .I encourage people to get involved.
