I saw the replay of the Vardy knee injury in the Demons-Tigers game today and it deadset looked like an ACL. He was approaching an opponent, changed his mind at the last minute, and his foot got caught in the turf and his knee buckled. This looked like an ACL injury, in fact so much so that I put it up on the site with this diagnosis. However, the AAP report this evening said medial ligament with 4 weeks out. If this turns out to be correct (and Melbourne medical staff are usually very accurate) then it will be a lucky escape, and crucial to Melbourne's finals campaign.
