Interesting information in a podcast on iTunes about how to treat fractures.
It says:
To treat a fracture, don't move the patient anymore then necessery, but don't forget if there is areas of danger, you may need to move the patient away from the danger, if you can't move the danger from the patient. You should give them support. Call for help and if it is a fractured leg, try and give it some support. And keep them careful for other people so that no one trips over them. That is the last thing you want. Call for an ambulence if it is a major fracture. Number: 000. But don't forget that people with fractured arms or collarbones can travel in cars. If you think someone has a neck fracture or spine injury. They will need an ambulence. Again you need to support the patient. Make sure they aren't moved at all and call the ambulence. Wait with them until the ambulence arrives.
