NORTH Queensland forward Glenn Morrison is hoping a visit to the specialist tomorrow will clear him to take part in the Cowboys' inaugural finals campaign.
Morrison hasn't played since fracturing two vertebrae and damaging ligaments in his back in round 13, injuries which prompted fears his season - and possibly his career - were over.
The Country Origin forward has returned to full training and is optimistic he will be back for Saturday night's game against Cronulla followed by the Cowboys' historic finals appearance the week after.
"I will see him [the specialist] this week and see how it's going," Morrison said.
"It feels pretty good. I have been training the last six weeks and the last two weeks I have been with the team.
"I feel like I will be right. I'd like to play"
