Hello again! Has anyone on-line ever had a gastrocnemius recession? I have insertional and non insertional tendonosis. MRI and US confirm such (degeneration) with intense neovascularization. I know, that in itself it isn't proof of anything but the 24h pain is. The choices are down to achilles surgery due to major adhesions, paratenon attached to achilles, to retrocalcaneal bursor, and to the calcaneum. (Evans procedure on peroneals 28 years ago). Or the gastrocnemius recession (uniportal). If you have or know more info on POST op rehab and contraindications I'd appreciate any input. I know all about the EGR, as I've scoured the net, but can't find anything on results post op. Thanks. Annie
