So, here's another one of my polls. The question for this one is: Which country has a better choice of surgeons?

Canada has some very good surgeons (similar to the other countries mentioned) with the key element being that all surgical related costs are covered by government health insurance. The government makes sure that surgeons are located in areas with sufficient patient volumes to maintain their skill sets, and then the patients are sent to the regional medical centres. The challenge is to get a timely MRI which opens access to the specialists who won't look at you until the diagnostics are done. Access to the diagnostic tests is gradually improving, but is still not good enough yet. I wouldn't wait and simply went across the border to the U.S. to pay for an MRI which I received the next day. Then my surgery here was scheduled a couple of weeks later.

I was in Cuba a couple of months ago, and while I can't vouoch for terribly many other countries in the world, my experience with the Cuban medical system certainly would take some topping.
