:) Hi!
This the first time I have written to the forum. My Story:
Fully Ruptured Archilles Tendon 7/8/2006 whilst Snow Skiing. Operated on 9/8/2006. Plaster for 6 weeks in neutral position. Out of Plaster for 3 weeks went to Sports Physio then 4 days later nicked back of leg on a rock and burst tendon open. (Fully Ruptured again)
Back the Surgeon and was operated on 22/10/2006. 6 weeks in plaster and walking again. The time it felt better than the first time. Visited Sports Physio on 18/12/2006. 21/12/2006 tendon area very swollen and burst for no apparent reason. Tendon Ruptured(Third Time) and tore the skin from Ankle to Ankle within my House for no apparent reason.
Surgeon immediately operated on Tendon and wound. The tendon ruptured 20mm below the last Rupture. I am now in Half Plaster toes pointed slightly down. Non Load Bearing.
Surgeon said there was no Tendon Deterioration and could not explain what had happened. Surgeon said I was doing everything correctly, however, mentioned Phsio was maybe a bit to early.
Now third operation and plaster over Xmas. This time I am going to take things extremely easy. I could not be that unlucky to RUPTURE the ACT FOR A FORTH TIME!!!!
Any comment from the readers?
Regards
