Solution as to how to deal with drugs at Olympics and World Championships:
Every competitor comes down to a Green Room 3-4 hours before their race. In it they can go to the toilet under observation an eat standard or pre-screened food only. On arrival, must take a blood test and a urine test.
All tests are rapidly analysed for the known drugs, and if any are positive then the athlete is out of the race (does not start). If the samples for an athlete are clear, then he/she is fit to go.
No more after race realignment of the medals depending on whether a certain legal appeal got up or not. Either you were clean at the start in which case you race, if you're not clean you don't race.
At least under this system the results will all stand and all competitors will have been tested on the day (prior to their race).
