Hi there,

When I decided to go and get my shoulder sorted I went to a physio and he tried some infrarrential treatment on my shoulder (sends electric waves to the muscle) and not only did it leave big purple suction marks (it looked like I had been attacked by a giant octapus) my shoulder also felt very tender after wards. I told the physio and the next time I saw him he tried ultrasound and that stirred things up even more. I wonder if someone can tell me if both these treatments are designed to be used for more musculoskeletal injuries rather than joint/tendon injuries? After both these treatments, my shoulder became unstable, it was weak and caused more aching pains than it had in a long time after not having any for about 4 months.

Greatly appreciate your help

Angie

Its difficult to be dogmatic about Ultra sound. A lot depends on the power setting Lowest power and ofton is usually the best way to go. Then again it may not be suitable at all
