Hey guys, I am new here. I just was wondering if any else had a PAO that i could talk to? I am 24 years old and when I was 9 I got into a bad accident that shattered my pelvis. The way my left hip socket healed has left me with arthritis and hip displasia and some other stuff now. I went to the Hospital for Special Surgery with Dr Helfit and Dr Buly and the Drs there did not feel confident to do my surgery since it is such a unique case. I have to go to Switzerland on March 13th to have my surgery with Dr. Reinhold Ganz (who invented it). I am really nervous. Any have any experience with this? If so:

1. Do you have ot get the screws out?
2. Did you have to give yourself blood thinning injections everyday until you were off crutches?
3. Did anyone not get the epidural catheter and just stick with the iv meds?
4. Did they give you any other shots while in the hospital (besides into the iv and epid?)
