Round one of the Super 14 will make for interesting viewing for Rugby fans the world over. With NZ teams missing their All Black representatives and a host of injuries already, the scene is set for a completely different competition this year.

For the New Zealand based clubs, three players will miss out for the Chiefs, two players from Otago, and the Crusaders have already lost Greg Sommervilee for the season (Achilles rupture)

The teams who begin 2007 with the most injuries include the Bulls (6 players missing round one) and Waratahs (4 players missing). NSW have already lost Alex Kanaar (knee) for the season and decided not to include Dunning (knee) or Lyons (knee) in the Squad for South Africa. They don’t expect Dan Vickerman back till mid season (Shoulder reco).
