Can anyone tell me what this means as my doctor just told me to rub moisturiser and water on my arm. I am going to have a second opinion.
What is the worse thing that can happen with a thin long head?
What can be done to repair it?
Can it rupture?

Could really do with some advice

Thanks
Shellie

Hi there Shellie,

If I was you I'd go an see a sports physician as they specialise in these types of injuries. They will then be able to refer you on as necessary.

Whereabouts are you based ?

Hi Shellie,

I think that you need to go and see a sports physician especially someone who only specialises in shoulders. I suspect that by having a thin bicep tendon that you may be more susceptible to tearing it because there is not much tendon attached to the shoulder capsule.

Your sports physician can guide you on the type of treatment you should seek. KJ is very resourceful with referring people to sports physicians too.

Hi Shellie,

I know of two good sports physicians in Perth. Their names are Carmel Goodman and Rod Moore who is the West Coast Eagles team physician. Their contact details are :

Carmel Goodman (08) 9387 2344 - Institute of Sports Medicine
Rod Moore (08) 9366 1810 - Sportsmed Murdoch & (08) 9382 9600 - Sportsmed Subiaco

These doctors were recommended by Paul Blackman who is a sports physician and heads up the medical team at Collingwood Football Club. One of my friends lives in Perth and was looking for someone is see about her knee.

Good luck !
