Heya people, i had a injury to the ribs but not directly, i went ice skatin last fryday MY BIRTHDAY:( !!. i was skatin quite fast, when i tripped, i hit myself really hard in the chest with my fist (it was a bad fall but a weird one) and on the ground. i winded myself badly, cudnt breathe, a crowd formed soon to c if i wuz k, i managed to get my breath back after bein on the ground for 10 minz! but soon after as i got up my rightside of the ribs were hurting :confused: and since then it still it hurts when i laugh, breathe, cough, sneeze, im in a lot of pain especially more on movement! i went to the hospital a week after and the doctor said they dont do x rays on rib injuries because fractures don't show up on the xray, so she advised me to take painkillers (dont no for how long!) and to use a hot water bottle, so far NO GUD! i have no bruising to the top skin over the rib but it hurts a lot in 2 parts, really badly, the inner part of the rib and the outer part of my rib, their sharp pains!! and i can't do much bein in so much pain, i want to know what it is but feel stupid if i go bak to the hospital because they will put it down to strain or summat but im not convinced, i dont no wot to do?? any advice would be FAB!!:) and all ya guys out ther who are injured GET WELL SOON!! xx;)
