Apparently padding on gloves are over rated these days.....Warney actually took out the padding from his gloves, boasting that it was so much more comfortable.

He is hoping to be back for the Brisbane Test.

Not that superstition should be encouraged, but interesting how injuries come in runs. Aside from Damien Martyn a season ago, the Australian team has hardly had any broken fingers or thumbs and now we get Ponting, Warne and Martin Love in quick succession.

I think Warney loves the publicity of people bagging him though, as he can then come back in a month, take 5 for in his first innings back and shove it back up everyone again.

He has been named in the 12 to play NZ in Brisbane. Warney has always talked up his body's quick healing properties. Lots of papers wrote him off for the series on early news of his injury.
