shoulder arthritis

Hi,
I have been told I have shoulder arthritis. What does this mean? I fell hard three years ago and never went in to get it checked. I have had shoulder pain since then and I finally got an MRI. Does anyone know how they treat this? Or don't they. My problem is that I fell four months ago on the other shoulder and broke my humerus bad. And for some reason that shoulder is in so much pain now too, all the way to my elbow. So both shoulders hurt. Any suggestions? I started PT a couple weeks ago on the new break. I am 43 years old.

cortisone injection... and if that doesnt work, either a shoulder replacement, or a distal clavicle excision depending on where the arthritis is.

i doubt if the injury 3 years ago caused the arthritis.. you probably used your shoulders alot when you were younger from sport or work or whatever, and over the years, got the wear and tear that causes degeneration to your joints.
