Looking at having surgery with John O'Donnell. Has anyone had a hip labrum tear operated on by this surgeon and what is the result now?

From what I have heard on this and other boards you will be in very good hands.

I have made a booking for surgery for end May with John O'Donnell. I have small anterior labral hip tear 9 O' Clock to 11'O clock. I have been told to give it some time as these tears can heal. My biggest problem is I have chronic troncheric bursitis in both hips and in so much pain.

Can anyone tell me if you have a labral hip tear you will more than likely have bursitis?and after surgery will you more than likely get bursitis again?

I havent had a cortisone injection yet as trying to heal it with NSAIDS. I fear getting the cortisone injection only for the pain to come back again.
