After a week of the Melbourne media thinking that Brisbane was too beaten up (especially Nigel Lappin and Michael Voss) to compete with a fit and healthy Collingwood, the thrashing that occurred in the opposite direction has made the Lions' medical team seem like miracle workers. Lappin finished the game with a punctured lung, but most importantly, he finished the game with a Premiership medallion as well. The Lions' doctors and ex-AIS physiotherapists, including Victor Popov (pictured) have made a habit of being seen to be at the cutting edge of medical treatment.
