I am 43 yeard old. Recently MRI shows two mild disk hernia L1 and L4. I hurt my back while doing yoga. My back was crooked to one side. After two months of physio, now no more pain so far but the MRI shows that I still have two levels of mild disk hernia.

My question is will my condition getting worsen as time goes by or when I grow older.
What sort of preventive measures should I be taken to protect my back. I dont want to end up doing surgery.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi,
This condition can get worse if you don't look after it. Strengthening of back muscles and applying common sense with lifting/bending/reaching can help you keep it at bay. See a professional to tailor an exercise regime to suit. Best of luck
