Just a point of trivia that may be of interest. I met Mark Oram, Jacob Oram's Dad, at the New Zealand Sports Medicine conference in Auckland recently. He is a physio and told me to watch out for his son on the forthcoming tour of Australia. Normally most proud Dads will say this, but Jacob certainly made the statement that his Dad was predicting in the first innings in Brisbane.

For those physios wanting to think about extra ways to expand your practice or make money, having a kid who is an international athlete is now on the list.

I wander if Jacob has any more party tricks up his sleeve. The way he got out today will be very hard to beat.

For those that didn't see it, he was attempting to smash a long hop from warney over the square leg boundary but missed it altogether. However, as the ball popped up from his pad he managed to get a faint little edge from the back of the bat in his follow through, which presented one of the easiest catches Matt Hayden will ever get at first slip.

Yep that will be very hard to beat

My mum went to school with Mark.
Isnt he and Jacob both over 6'6?

Yep, Mark is a pretty big bloke. If Jacob keeps going then he may be able to afford to fly business class for the extra legroom he will need to see some of the away match. Probably wouldn't on a physio income!
