After ultra sound and xrays, my GP diagnosed my shoulder as having calicific tendinitis. He said that a cortisone injection should fix it. I had it a week ago but I've got no relief from pain and in fact my range of movement is less and my shoulder feels like its been bashed with hammers. I also am a bit concerned that I have been taking indocid for approximately 10 days.
I am a professional golfer and I play full time on the Seniors Tour which commences early February so I am anxious to have this problem resolved ASAP.
Should I ask my GP for another cortisone injection as I have read that sometimes you need two injections to fix it or should I seek a shoulder specialist instead.
Does anyone know of a good shoulder specialist on the Sunshine Coast?
