In what was thought to be the most unlikely result, but P.J. Marsh has been cleared to play football again after 18 months on the sidelines.

Back at the Eels (where he belongs) he may play against the Sharks next saturday. An ironic return as he suffered the vertebrae injury playing for the warriors against the Eels. His first operation failed, but a second attempt proved successful for the halfback who will lead the Eels to a premiership.

Just remind me, is Brian Smith still the coach of the Eels? In all seriousness, the Eels have been cactus since Jason Taylor retired. The history of the Eels and North Sydney puts him in the top echelon of halfbacks who would have won a few comps in a better team. You MUST have a good organising halfback to go anywhere close to winning a comp. PJ Marsh may be better than some of the other options the Eels have tossed up, but it is a big question mark to get someone back after 2 seasons off with a neck injury and expect to ride on that player's back to a Premiership.

That is the most incredible recovery I've heard of, even more incredible than a heart transplant (Although I've not heard of any footballers that have undergone heart transplants).
