Aboslutely! Benji Marshall subluxed his right shoulder against an Italian invitational side on Saturday. The left reconstructed shoulder held up ok, but with this injury, he is looking at 1 or 2 games missed in the 2005 season already. Scans are still yet to be available to confirm exact damage.
In other news Anasta has hurt his sternum, scans also pending.
Thorn (Broncos) has done a hammy and will not be available for the trials. Mick Ryan has also done his hamstring but is looking a a much longer rehab 6-8 wks.
A disappointing start for some already.
Benji's injury curse

WESTS Tigers are today bracing themselves for news that rising star player Benji Marshall could miss the start of this season after sustaining his third shoulder injury in 11 months.
Marshall will undergo an MRI scan after sustaining the injury during Wests Tigers' 78-4 trial win over an Italian Invitational side in Mollymook on Saturday night.
Club officials are predicting he may not play for four weeks but that may depend on the outcome of today's scan.
Last year, Marshall - already renowned for his remarkable side-step - twice damaged his left shoulder.
On Saturday night however, Marshall hurt his right shoulder.
He initially injured himself last year against North Queensland in round four and missed four games.
Marshall returned but further damaged the same left shoulder against Melbourne in round 13, an injury which led to a reconstruction.
"You can't keep players in cotton wool," said Wests Tigers chief executive Steve Noyce.
"It's a concern but Benji came straight off and was treated immediately."
Marshall may in fact be fit for the season-opener against Parramatta but Wests Tigers have a round-two bye before playing the Bulldogs in round three.
Coach Tim Sheens may opt to rest Marshall in round one, giving him a further fortnight to completely recover.
Wests Tigers head trainer and co-ordinator Brian Hider said five-eighth Marshall will not be rushed back prematurely.
"The shoulder popped out but went straight back in," Hider said.
"We're not overly concerned at this stage but we are looking at a month out unless the MRI shows something up.
"We will certainly be treating the injury with respect.
"There is nothing wrong with Benji's tackling technique - he just always tries to play above his weight. He likes to tackle with authority.
"We will read it as it goes but we won't be taking any risks with Benji."
In other weekend trial matches, Cronulla defeated Parramatta 24-18 in Lismore while Melbourne Storm beat Central Queensland 58-18 at Rockhampton.
The Sharks' young side led 18-6 at halftime and impressed coach Stuart Raper, while Parramatta praised the efforts of new buys Mark Riddell and Glenn Morrison.
"Aaron Cannings also went very well. He hit the line strongly and got away several off-loads," said Eels chief executive Denis Fitzgerald. "It was a good first-up hit-out."
The Storm scored five tries in the first quarter to build up a 50-6 lead by halftime before the hot conditions and lack of pre-season ballwork took a toll.
Coach Craig Bellamy said unheralded front-rowers Brett White and Pat Gardner gave the visitors momentum.
"They gave us a good platform and considering the heat they were very good."

I think Benji will start the year and play, then will redislocate the second shoulder in about round 9. When he looks to see that the Tigers are 3 wins and 6 losses, he will pull up stumps and get another reco. Then he might sign with a top 8 team after his Tigers' contract finishes.
The salary cap in rugby league seems to bring the bottom teams closer to the top, but they still can't hold their players, so in some ways the gap is still huge.
It would be great if Benji played 10 years with the Tigers and plays Tests for New Zealand, but players seem to want to gravitate towards the top teams.
Maybe the Bulldogs will sign him up and back-end his contract so most of his money is being received in the year 2008. At least they will have Anasta off their books by then.

Interesting to read the comments above a few months down the track. Good to see that Benji is now long term with the Tigers and that they are in the 8. Anasta is about to leave the Bulldogs but not getting replaced by Marshall.
The salary cap appears to be alive and well and finally working!
