Queensland's dressing shed was left resembling a makeshift hospital following the Reds' bruising 48-19 trial loss to the Crusaders at Ballymore last night.
Team medicos will assess at least nine Reds players at today's recovery session including Wallabies duo Chris Latham and Elton Flatley.
Latham is the player causing the most concern after he left the field late in the first half with a sprained ankle while Flatley received a knock on the knee that he injured during the Wallabies' tour to Europe last year.
The Reds also lost Tim Atkinson (dislocated shoulder), Josh Valentine (rib cartilage), Drew Mitchell and Steve Kefu (head knocks), as well as Julian Huxley, David Croft and Ben Tune (severe cramps).
Queensland coach Jeff Miller was left searching for answers after the game over how his side could suffer so many casualties less than two weeks out from the start of the Super 12.

"That's a big worry for us," Miller said.
"I think we've had a season's worth of injuries in one game and that virtually wiped out the last 20 minutes of the game."
Miller was forced to finish the game with flanker John Roe at fullback and giant hooker Stephen Moore feeding the scrums.
The only highlight of the evening for the Reds was the performance of outside centre Junior Pelesasa who turned in a man-of-the-match display.
Crusaders coach Robbie Deans said he was delighted with his side's performance, particularly after last week's dismal performance against the Waratahs.
"We were a looking for a polished performance tonight," he said.
"We talked about how this (win) was important to us when we have the Brumbies next week."
After winning their previous two trial games, Queensland was riding high on confidence but was left stunned when the Crusaders stormed to a 31-7 half-time lead.
The visitors ran in three tries inside the opening 20 minutes to take a 21-point lead before All Blacks ace Daniel Carter took the margin out even further with a 26th minute penalty goal.
The Reds finally awoke from their slumber soon after when Pelesasa pounced on a deft kick by Huxley only to see the game taken almost out of reach when Caleb Ralph scored in bizarre circumstances after the half-time siren.
Ralph touched down on a loose ball inside the Reds' in-goal area after Huxley knocked the ball out of the hands of a show-boating Reuben Thorne.
Two early tries to Atkinson and Brock James in the second half presented the Reds with a faint chance of victory with the home side closing the Crusaders' lead to 31-19.
But another penalty goal to Carter and two late tries saw the visitors home against a Queensland side that looked almost unrecognisable
Crusaders 48 (B Carter C Laulala R McCaw C Ralph T Paulo V Delasau tries; B Carter 6 cons 2 pen goals) bt Reds 19 (J Pelasasa T Atkinson B James tries; J Huxley 2 cons) at Ballymore.
