How long after having a plate taken out and a bone graft will it be before I can go diving?

I had a Grade III-IV shoulder dislocation, broken scapula & ribs and a punctured lung in January last year. A plate was put in my shoulder for 4 months in April (including cutting 2cm of bone of the end) and the plate was taken out in August. My recovery has been going really well, and I've started exercising with weights to build up strength. I have full range and mobility back again.

I also had a bone graft from my lower jaw to my upper jaw (in preparation for an implant in July). I have a bridge I am wearing until the implant.

So does anyone know how much longer I should wait before I go diving? I'm hanging. I feel confident enough, but wouldn't want to push my luck...

Thanks guys,
Kellie

I don't see that there would be any problems directly related to the scuba diving as much as the physical activity you are going to be going thru when you go diving. That's what will probably get you. I suggest seeing your GP about this and going from there.

I believe that your case shouldn't has not affected your passion for diving.

Because diving will affect your brain, when your dive in deep, there isn't much oxygen left.

so the moment you surface up yourself, you'll experience giddiness and have that kind of "lost" feeling.
