hello,

I'm a 22 year old electrictian and have been suffering from right wrist pain since december 06 and as a result been off work since.
I had seen wrist specialists and an array of physios, had ultrasounds, bone scan, and mri. These seem to be normal and nothing to mention apart from a small cyst that can be left alone. Recently had an arthroscopy which i think has made the pain worse.

I encounter pain from small things such as brushing teeth to pouring kettle. But most of my pain is when i try do push ups.

Would any one have any advice for me.
Any Doctors you can reccomend? (im in sydney.)

Thanks!

Sounds like possibly - tendinopathy or dorsal impingement/wrist ganglion. If there is a single tender spot I would try a cortisone injection there.

hi yes there is a tender spot.
I've previously had 2 quaterzone injections.

My doc says there is wrist instability also.

Aslo i'd like to add that the Arthroscopy revealed weakness in the ligament between
Scaphoid and lunate.

much thanks

I can't believe how many people have wrist instability between those 2 specific carpal bones. It is such a common injury it's really unfortunate.

That is unfortunate as well. After my initial fracture it took 4 years of being bounced around and many tears before I finally found a physician that saw it was more than a simple over worked wrist that required "a little break" with some ice and a tensor.

Once I found the right surgeon I was still bounced around three times before I was able to settle with this orthopedic surgeon.

Wrist injuries are all so complicated. Probably some of the most difficult injuries to treat and some of the most painful ones as well.

My surgeon is an older fellow but has the experience to back up those wrinkles. Keep searching until you find the right surgeon with the experience. Some of those injuries are fixable, you just need to find the right doc.
