Hi, I don't suffer from this but instability is often missed in scans etc because the hand is often in a neutral position during the scans. The bones need to be dynamially tested which obviously the specialist did to diagnose. If you haven't already done it you need to go to a specialist hand/wrist clinic rather than just a regular orthopod that may only occasionally deal with these. I'm aware of one in the Sutherland area. I'm sure something can be done. Let us know how you go.

If it's only a mild instability it's not a grade 2 injury:rolleyes: 75% of the population has some form of a mild instability in the wrist from an injury caused during their lifetime. Only a select few end up having symptoms that are warrant any type of treatment.

The Problem is that i have a load of pain that doesn't seem proportional to the amount of instability. It has the docs stumped so far.

Doesn't change the fact that the amount pain one has does not diagnoses the degree of instability.

Hi,

I had an arthroscopy done, and it doc found the ligament between scaphoid and lunate having some weakness. grade 2.

Alot of people have worst instability with no pain.
But me on the other hand have alot of pain under load and push ups, and clicking and some snaping not painful but worrying..

Comments?

Thanks
