I think it may be quadricep strain but I will tell you all first.
I play football, just started again after a couple of years. It seems when I have gone to kick the ball the front top of my right leg as suddenly got painful.
When it feels like the pain is going after a couple of days rest I go back to play and as soon as I kick a long ball the pain is back. I am unable to do the stretch where you stand and lift the leg behind you and grab it. This is dificult to do whilst keeping my leg at a nice bend.
There is no bruising showing, but it feels bruised under the skin should i prod it. Its seems in dead centre. Starting just below belt and going down for around 10cm or so.
What could this be? What can I do? I train with compression shorts and currently have a bandage on to try and support it.
