A couple of years ago, whilst playing tennis, I strained or tore my groin muscle, not sure because I never got it checked out. When I did it, I heard a noise, kinda like a tear or a rip, and immediatly after, I was unable to walk for the first few minutes, and then I could basically only limp. To this day, I occasionally get stiffness in my groin (no, not that kinda stiffness), and feels like I am about to do something to it again. Does this mean that I have a chronic groin problem, and if so, can surgery fix it?

Worth getting it looked at, although needs to be by someone who sees groin problems regularly. You may have done something in the hip joint, or possibly torn adductor longus which has lead to a chronic tendinopathy.
