What is happening with the Aprotinin RCT, any preliminary results to discuss? Who is funding the trial?

Trial is being written up by Richie Brown at the moment. No drug companies involved, self-funded. However, subject numbers are the problem. The other problem is that both groups did too well to be able to see differences at 12 months (i.e. most placebo injection patients were back to 100% by 12 months). The aprotinin improvements (raw scores) were slightly better and return to sport at 3 months looks like it will be better than placebo at 0.05 level.
