Hey everyone. Just looking on some advice(if anyone else suffers this) as im currently having many issues with groin problems).

When i was younger(playing club rugby league for 8 years) i felt a sharp pain as i stepped off my left leg, and its never been the same since(4 years on). Though, as im getting older, its starting to affect me more then when i was younger.

Though, i never tore a muscle or did any damage to it, i never thought that it was serious enough that i needed to see a local GP.

Basically the pain is in my groin, though it moves down my thigh as well. Sharp, irritating pain that makes me stretch it out everytime im uncomfortable. I have no clue what it is, though it can get quite painfull at times.

Basically what id like to know is, has anyone else came across this problem? Or know what this might be? As its very frustrating when i work over 45 hours a week, very hard to work fast as any quick movement, and it stabs me like a lightning bolt.

Please get back to me.

Thanks
James

Sounds very likely to be adductor tendinopathy, although any examination should also check your hip joint. Lots of info on this website on adductor problems, so please do a search.

I have had similar problems but more localized to the the buttock area. I feel i have to stretch to relieve the discomfort. I recently had a non-contrast MRI of my hip but it was negative. I am now doing therapy without relief. From what i have read, i think i have a torn hip labrum. Noncontrast MRI is only 8% sensitive in diagnosing labral tears.

I have been diagnosed (via MRI) of a 3-1/2 centimer cyst (possible tear) of the left hip. I had explained my groin and hip pain to my GP, and he had me do an MRI. I have yet to see a Ortoopedic Surgeon as I do want one that knows this problem. Can anyone recommend a surgeon in the Houston,Woodlands, Conroe areas that specializes in this?
