I need desperate help on a ankle injury.

I twisted my anke quite severely while coming down the stairs at a cinema about a month & a half ago. It swelled up for days and I had to limp on it. I bandanged it up and put vie on it but a week later i twisted it again while it was only about 75% healed. The twist wsn't as bad this time but it think it prolonged the healing process and maybe caused it to not heal properly. I can run and walk on it now with no pain or discomfort but i twist it excessively (like before) without feeling pain. And i really can't play sports like AFL to my full capacity as i find i can't take corners quickly with the ankle and use it.

I'm a bit short of cash to see a physio.

Can anyone help?

Em

Pity you didn't do it before tort law reforms came in. You could then have sued the cinema and bought an entire physiotherapy practice with your winnings.

In all seriousness, try balance exercises, strengthening exercises and stretches to improve range of motion. If they don't work eventually you will need to see someone.
