Could anyone tell me of sports physios etc. in Tassie, preferably Launceston?

I had a hip arthroscopy debridement a few months ago for a labral tear found on MRI. It was improved for a couple of weeks but now have similar pain as pre-op..?it has torn again.

My options are to have a diagnostic local anaesthetic injection with a view to repeat arthroscopy or else give core strengthening another go (previously failed to improve pain before my surgery).

Any suggestions/recommendations gratefully received....

This is a pretty common scenario post hip arthroscopy, unfortunately, which is why it isn't nearly as popular as knee arthroscopy. Sometimes there is impingement of the anterior neck of femur which can contribute - other times it is simply early arthritis of the hip developing.

Try to find a physio at:

If you can't get any listed there, but do come up with a good one yourself, let us know and we will add them to the directory.

I know Laurie McGee is the Launceston based physio for the Tassie Tigers but don't have a practice contact for him, although I imagine you could look him up.
