Two days ago I cut my right index finger on some glass. Although, I didnt feel much pain as a result of the laceration I noticed I wasnt able to bend my finger at the joints. I am able to wiggle my finger back and forth though. The doctor at the ER then explored the wound and at first he said he was unable to see the tendon. The Dr tied a rubber glove at the base of my finger to cut off the blood supply. He then explored some more and told me that he could see a tendon. I have an appointment for Wed to see a hand surgeon.
It is only painful when I attempt fold my finger in towards my palm as if I was going to make a first. Is it possible I did tear a tendon?
