    Default Hello again everyone

Hi Everyone, Have not been on the forum in quite some time, thought I would drop in and say hello, and find out how everyone is getting on.........
Dont know if you remember,I was here asking for advice a few months ago,and some of you were really helpful and generous with your time.
I myself am still in the same situation, same pain, same confusing dillema, after a negative meeting with my OS.
I am now thinking of following the advice of some of you and finding a private specialist, but dont know how to start looking for one, I am in the UK if anyone can suggest anything.
I would like to know how you guys are getting on too>>>>>>>

    Hi Angilee,

There are a few of us from the UK still posting on here, hopefully between us we can try and suggest something. I remember you posting, did you go ahead and have the Arthroscopy? What stage are you at now with your current OS and what are his recommendations? If you give us a few more details between us we can try and point you in the right direction.

    Hi Angilee,

Welcome back! Not sure where you are physically or geographically but The Cornwall Hip foundation has a good reputation:

They treat NHS and private patients at The Duchy.

Also Damian Griffin has a good reputation but NHS appointments were taking over twelve months and privately an initial consultation costs up to £2000:

    Good luck

    Hi Angilee,
I was lucky in that my first symtoms were in May 2008 but I didnt see a doc until Jan 09 and I had surgery in June 2009. My surgery has been fantastic. Recovery was slower than I thought but was told it would be. It has been 4 months now and I am back to fast walking and the odd sprint to the phone, still not in heels, and pain free unless I do something stupid to cause the tightness or ache.
I went private here in AustRalia. I had to fly from one end of Australia to the other (self funded) and pay a gap as private and NHS together didn't cover it all but it was worth every cent I spent. The surgeon here is one of the best.
I hope you find someone soon. Good luck. Tonya
