Default What's up with Scott Prince?

The official word is that he has the flu. No doubt he will play, as it is almost impossible to see the Tigers winning without their halfback.

However, I heard a rumour he may have a hamstring strain. Not sure how accurate it is, but if he has anything more than the flu it could affect his output.

It seems like something is going on given the betting on this game. The Tigers will have the majority of support, they have a great record against the Cowboys and have recently touched them up twice.

The Tigers also have very solid form, whereas the Cowboys looked very scratchy until last weekend. They were lucky to survive week 1 of the finals and were anything but impressive against Melbourne. The loss of Carl Webb is huge as he would have been a weapon against the small Tigers pack.

Richards, if he plays, will have the daylights needled out of his ankle, but you can't needle a hamstring.

Anyone who is interested in betting, I will give you a tip. Roosters Premier League are living certainties and are paying better than even money to win the Premier League GF against Parramatta. They have a solid team around the park and Jamie Soward is a first grade standard playmaker in top form guiding them around the park. They have put 50 points on the opposition in their two finals and should comfortably account for Parra. This is the under-rated bet of the year.

    Parramatta 31 (J Hayne 2, J Reddy, A Graham, D Dalton tries B Delaney 5 goals, M Perenara field goal) defeated Sydney Roosters 12 ( M Lett, N Plum tries J Soward 2 goals)

Don't give up your day job.

This result wasn't as bad as my advice in a thread at the start of the year that Benji Marshall would get his shoulder reconstruction done once the Wests Tigers were out of finals contention.

It goes to show how delightfully unpredictable football is. The Roosters even did a good warm-up in the game yesterday and started well, but dropped their heads for a few moments once Parramatta scored the first try after an arm wrestle.

With the benefit of hindsight it adds to the "match hardened" theory of preparation. The Roosters Premier League had been winning games very easily in the 6 or so weeks leading up to the GF. Maybe Parramatta suffered from the same problem in the NRL.
