My boyfriend had a hip arthroscopy surgery with labral tear repair about a week ago. However he still is experiencing pain in his groin area and his hip feels as if it is popping in and out of the socket. If someone could message me back and let me know if these are normal side effects it would be greatly appreciated !!
Both you and your bf can chill because one week after surgery is EXTREMELY early to be able to tell anything. He is probably so swollen and his hip is screaming...."what the heck did you do to me?"
Honestly, I barely remember the first month after my scope since I took so many pain meds. But I do remember barely being able to move. It clicked and cluncked for some time (~2 months) then it stopped and started feeling waaaaay better around 7 months.
So relax, rest TONS, and let time heal it.
Hope that helps!!!
stressed is desserts spelled backwards...coincidence? I think not.

Exactly!!! The surgeon had to pull his leg out of the socket - that takes quite a wee while to settle down - So CHILL! think at least 1 month if not more before it settles down!
No different suggestions from me, just agreeing with the previous...one week is FAR too early to be worryingGive it a couple of months to settle

One week is not too much for saying anything. Mostly after recovery swelling and pain is find normally. You have to complete rest, don't do anything that can disturb your hip. hip arthroscopy
