Why do people compare Andrew Flintoff to Ian Botham, and say that had it not been for injuries, Flintoff could have been classed in the same bracket?
Let's compare the two. Botham has a better bowling average and a better batting average. His impact on England cricket was immense. He won matches virtually single-handedly. Some of his best performances are:
England v Pakistan at Lord's 1978. Botham came in with England 134/5, and balanced precariously. He smashed 108 off 110 balls, and then picked up 8/34 in Pakistan's second innings. England won with an innings in hand.
I thought flintoff took retirement.I recently saw him featuring in a tv serial at nat geo or discovery i don't remember, but it was definitely him.
