Default Why do rugby union or rugby league players wear tights under their footy shorts?

im referring to the tights that are just above knee hieght, not the ones that covers your lentire lower body to the ankle.

    - what benefit does it have in terms of enhancing thier performance and reducing injury during training or during a game.

Also, what is the actual name of these tights...im after some.

Default EAB or Consistant Control? You decide...

Provides players with a number of helpful aids. Primarily, the tights act similar to an EAB (Elastic Adhesive Bandage) tape, providing support to the muscle groups covered. Secondary function is to provide the muscles with an overall 'consistent control' to provide dramatic increase / decrease in muscle temperature. Effectiveness during activities would be around 5/10

    Default Correction

...muscles with an overall 'consistent control' to provide dramatic increase / decrease in muscle temperature.

    Should read

muscles with an overall 'consistent control' to PREVENT dramatic increase / decrease in muscle temperature.
